Kunhan: "Mumbai drastically captures my mind and enriches my thought-process. The shiny out-wardness of rich people´s lives and their lifestyles somehow interest me. Their lives are about consumerism and its side-effects. Mass consumption products seem to have a big influence on societies of the information age and while they inspire on the one hand, they are also disturbing on the other hand. Next to presenting shiny surfaces in my paintings there is also a satirical side towards my work. My paintings are two-edged metaphors which portray both positive and negative aspects."
